Hi,

Im installing Vmware Server 1.0.4 on Ubuntu 7.10. I have Searched on Google If theres a guide or somthing but some of them are for older versions of ubuntu and some are just not good. Now I downloaded it Ran as Root in the Terminal Launched it and Ill show you the output.

root@****:/home/# '/home/*/vmware-server-distrib/vmware-install.pl'

Creating a new installer database using the tar3 format.

Installing the content of the package.

In which directory do you want to install the binary files?

/usr/bin /usr/bin

What is the directory that contains the init directories (rc0.d/ to rc6.d/)?

/etc /etc/

What is the directory that contains the init scripts?

/etc/init.d /etc/init.d/

The file /etc/init.d/vmware that this program was about to install already

exists. Overwrite? yes

Unable to copy the source file ./installer/services.sh to the destination file

/etc/init.d/vmware.

Execution aborted.

Then it Tells me that It Cant Copy the source file and then I do again it still gives me this error (I did rm -rf /etc/vmware so the setup can run again). Am I doing Somthing Wrong?

Please Help because I want to use Vmware Server instead of Virtualbox because the Internet wont work!

Thanks

Please Reply A.S.A.P
