Vmserver and NAS

Hi

Just a quick question..

can a VMserver box access VMs from a NAS?

If it can are there any specific requirements / protocols needed, NFS etc?

I'm looking at using a Buffalo Terastation 1TB for a development solution running 5VMs tops.
