Add CPU to existing virtual server

I have migrated a microsoft virtual server over to vmware server so I can leverage teh SMP for 2 processors (which you cant do on Microsoft virtual Server).

The machine migrated over sucessfully using the Vritual machine importer 2.  The machine boots and all hardware seems to run fine.  After I migrated it, I edited the settings for the virtual server to have 2 processors.  Device manager does list that the machine has 2 processors, however, the general tab in system properties only lists a single processor, as well as the CPU Graphs in task manager.  The virtual server is running windows 2003 server enterprise R2 SP2.  Windows 2003 is supposed to automatically change its HAL is my understanding when you add a processor.  Right now, the HAL listed in device manager under computer is "Advanced Confiruation and Power Interface (ACPI) PC".

Any assistance would be great.  I really need to get this machine to have dual processors, and reformatting is really not an option as we will incurr several thousand dollars of consultant expense to reconfigure the applications on it.

Thanks

Jeremy
