I am done with my ESX 3.5 eval so I am using the latest VMWare Converter to convert machines away from ESX to VMWare Server 1.0.6. Everything is fine, the conversion works, the VM starts (Windows 2003 Server) but of course the mouse and display are sluggish due to their being no VMWare Tools.
I rebooted the system without VMWare tools and it starts fine and functions as normal. Installing VMWare Tools appears to work, then it asks to reboot. Upon reboot I receive the BIOS/Post, the Windows 2003 splash screen, then a lightning fast BSOD Blue Screen and the system loops endlessly.
I tried this whole process twice, same results.
Any ideas?
