Hi,
I have VMWare running on a host Windows Server 2008 and guest OS is Windows XP Pro.
I want to use my USB Dongle (Aladdin) and USB Memory stick in my guest OS. They both work perfectly in Windows Server 2008.
I have tried VMWare Server 1.6 and there I can see listed both devices, when I connect them, but when I click on any of them, nothing happens... When further reading on forums around there was a suggestion to try Server 2.0B and of course I grabbed that idea 
But, now are things almost the same... Under Devices I see "Aladding Knowledge USB Device" and "AboCom Removable Disk" but options "Connect", "Change Icon", "Show icon in Status Bar" are gray and I can't click them. I have USB Controller "Auto connect enabled".
I tried with putting all of the different combinations in the configuration file and now there is only
usb.present = "TRUE"
connected with USB. I am reading and reading and having no more ideas and this thing is driving me nuts.
