Network Configuration

Hi,

I have been struggling for a couple of hours on this. So I do really need some help please. Now here is my configuration:

  • VMWare Server 1.0.5 installed on Windows XP Pro SP2

  • Two NIC, only one is connected

  • Automatic bridging is on

  • The default Virtual network mapping is on.

  • Windows XP NIC IP Config=> 10.190.29.110 Mask 255.255.255.0 Gateway 10.190.29.97

  • VMNet1 NIC IP Config=>192.168.16.1 Mask 255.255.255.0    No Gateway

  • VMnet8 NIC IP Config=>192.168.129.1 Mask 255.255.255.0    No Gateway

My problem is that I cannot get my new VM IP conf up using bridging mode. I may not have done the right steps, but the only way I can communicate with my VM is by using NAT. What I want to do however, is accessing the new VM from all over the network not just from my VMserver host. Please help.

Thanks
