We've been running VMware server for a while now. We have a script that
suspends the W2K SQL server, copies the entire directory to a backup
location, then restarts. That all has been working without an issue.
I had to use the backup. I copy it back to the original directory and
restore the suspended session. Windows blue screens on me with a
0x00000077 error.
Nothing changed on this machine. I don't know why it won't restart. The other virtual w2k machine is running fine.
If I just load the entire drive as a slave I don't see all the files that should be there.
To get it to finally boot up I have to run chkdsk, replace the
\windows\system32\config\system and software files and then it will
boot up. However a large portion of the files are corrupted.
I'm at my wits end. Any suggestions?
thanks,
tom
