I'm trying to become familar with the Windows Automated Installation Kit and Windows SIM. I've created an autounattend.xml file following the instructions in the WAIK. Problem I'm having is that I keep getting an error message from Windows setup that says, "Windows could not apply the Windows PE bootstrap specified in the unattend answer file." My answer file checks out for syntax according to Windows SIM.
I'm starting off with a 20 GB virtual disk, unpartitioned expecting the unattended process to initialize the disk. That information is included in the autounattend.xml. I've tried this on both VMWare Server and ESX3.5 with the same result. Has anyone experienced this? I'm sure it's some simple thing I'm overlooking.
