Hey all... I tried searching to see if my topic may have been covered already and found nothing.
I am running an XP machine w/ Fedora as my VM.
My work has a proxy which I have Internet Explorer use and I have PuTTY running for Firefox. PuTTY is allowing me to be able to visit any website i'd like w/out being restricted by my proxy.
I know that PuTTY is using port 7070 and I guess basically it interupts any traffic going to 7070, from my localmachine, and redirects it to an ssh server.
I was wondering how I would get VMware to send all net traffic through port 7070 as of right now I can't go to any websites or ping anything from my Fedora VM.
Fedora will pull the IP of the address I attempt to ping but then recieves 100% packet loss. Fedora also allows me to connect to an ssh server. Fedora's Firefox doesn't work at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I could be neive in assuming that if I can tell my Firefox, on XP, to send all data thru 7070 then I should be able to do the same for VMware.
