Hi All,
I've installed VMWare Server 1.0.6 long time ago one my notebook and was able to work with different virtual machines without any problem.
But recently, I encountered a quite important problem. From my VMs, I'm not able anymore to reach the network... The exact description of my problem is the following:
- My physical machine has valid IP address (obtained through DHCP server) and can access the network and the internet without any problem.
- My Virtual machines are setup with a bridged connection (ie connected directly to the physical network)
- My VMs can obtain a valid IP address from the DHCP server
- From my physical machine (or from other PC connected to the network), I can reach my VMs using a ping request
- But: from my VMs, I can't ping my physical machine (neither the DHCP server or the default gateway or any other PC of the network) and also I can't reach the Internet....
- I've tried to disable firewalls, antivirus ... without any changes...
Do you have an idea about this very strange problem? It's really disturbing me for the daily work.... I've tried to upgrade to 1.0.8 version without any success.
