Is there perhaps a "[ ] Yes, I really want it to #$!%ing start after a reboot, even if it invovles deleting stale lock files" check box anywhere that I've missed for over two years?
Presuming I'm not blind and indeed have not been missing this option, is there any non-obvious way to achieve the desired behavior of actually, consistently starting the VMs I've configured it to start after a reboot?
I am literally about to crap a brick in frustration about this, it is perhaps the single most thoughtless and crippling behavior I have ever seen in a software package that actually managed to execute.
I made the mistake of configuring my LDAP server on a VM, so my entire network hangs on pam_ldap every time this piece of trash fails to start back up without manual intervention, leaving me no terminals with which to manually intervene... wooosaaah...
Thanks in advance, folks.
