Can't access VM on second NIC

I've configured a guest machine in order to test a program in a "pfSense" environment (FreeBSD).  I'm having a terribly dificult time setting up both NICs to work properly.

pfSense is looking for two NICs, a WAN interfae and a LAN interface.  Essentially, after pfSense is installed, it's web interface needs to be accessed via the LAN port in order to provission access from the WAN side.  pfSense has been successfully installed and the WAN port "le0" is successfully getting a DHCP address from my firewall (10.1.1.18).  I have configured the LAN side, "le1" as a DHCP server with an address of 192.168.9.200, and giving out addresses from 192.168.9.11 thru .20.

Incidentally, the physical server obviously has two NIC jacks, the first (WAN) is plugged into my firewall and the second (LAN) is plugged into my laptop (via crossover cable).

Any help on properly setting up the LAN connection would be GEATLY appreciated!

Thanks!

Evan
