VMware Server Console: Wrong keyboard settings on ASUS EEE

Hello !

I am using a small ASUS EEE (Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic - Kernel 2.6.31) with VMware Server Console. Suddenly the keyboard won't work on the Windows XP guest operation system.

The keys 'Q', 'W', 'E', 'R', 'T', 'Z' are working correct, but e.g. 'u' will result in a '4' and 'U' in Backspace.

Changing the settings in .vmware/preferences (http://communities.vmware.com/thread/150155) doesn't help.

Any suggestions ?
