managed to get xp working in vpc, opensolaris in vbox over the weekend, massive waste of time... they both say ubuntu is supported, but both hang up crash, or bluescreen on install. im running a new system amd quad core 9550 2.2Ghz 3gb ram, vista 32bit, gforce 9600gt. i only bought a few days ago for uni, studying software dev, database design (java, c+, sql) would like to run ubuntu purely for c+, rather than cygwin or some such.. anyway.
I installed workstation after vpc and vbox, then realised it was evaluation so uninstalled, i managed to get ubuntu working in that (w/o tools, didnt get that far...), so someone on msn told me about server, and i grabbed that.
When i get to tool installation i follow proceedure, only i get an error at the end, which seems to stop me from being able to install or uninstall.
If anyone has any idea's i'd love to know how to get around this?
