vmdk file zero'd out

Hey All,

I'm working on a VM that is on a testing and development server, and I'm not sure how it happened, but the first flat vmdk file has been zero'd out. I'm not sure how or exactly when it happened, but when the developer asked me to boot the server up, it was responding with:

Cannot open the disk '/vmware/ewsrtdb/tpocs2k3.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on.

Reason: The file specified is not a virtual disk.

I started troubleshooting that issue, and wasn't making a whole lot of headway, and then I noticed that the first flat vmdk file (tpocs2k3-f001.vmdk) was zero'd out. We don't have any backups of this particular VM to pull from (I know, I know...I wasn't involved with the environment when this VM was last running). Is there any way to recover that or are we screwed?

Thanks,

Jeff
